Adam's father is a NY City & State Commissioner; his mother, an author and former professor at The New School for Social Research. His brother, Khary Lazarre-White, is the Director of "The Brotherhood/Sister Sol", an award winning Harlem based Youth Organization.
Adam graduated from The Fieldston School in New York City and then from Harvard University. Adam excelled in music, playing the guitar and saxophone, and was a superior athlete, achieving All-league honors in high school football & baseball; and started at quarterback for the Harvard Crimson, earning Ivy League Player of the Week, E.C.A.C player of The Week, and The New England Sports Writers' Player of the Week. He lives with his wife, actress, Dendrie Taylor, and their beloved daughter, Aiyana.
