Adam Maurer was born in Belleville, Illinois to Gene and Joyce Maurer and was the second of their two children. Gene is an educator in Missouri and has been teaching for over 30. Adam got his desire to act from Joyce who was a professional model and actress. Adam spent most of his time involved in after school activities such as music, dance and theatre. Like a lot of actors Adam started his career by performing skits starring the Maurer Gang kids from around his 50s style Dick Van Dyke neighborhood.
