Adele Silva - Biography

Adele Silva has been one of the most popular faces on British screens for two decades. A graduate of the world famous Sylvia Young theatre school, Adele is best known for her long running role as Kelly Windsor in top-rated British television drama Emmerdale, in which the Daily Express described her as "soap's sexiest star."

Adele made her screen debut opposite Sylvester McCoy in Survival; the last episode of the classic science fiction drama Doctor Who. She followed this with guest appearances in popular British television shows such as The Bill, Eastenders and Mr Majeika and in the films Rotten Apples and Chains. Adele then joined the cast of Emmerdale and was at the centre of dozens of dramatic story lines, working with the likes of Patsy Kensit, Patrick Mower and Linda Thorson.

During a break from the show she guested in episodes of Is Harry On The Boat?, Mile High and The Court Room and spent a year training at the world renowned Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Shortly after quitting Emmerdale in 2007, Adele took part - and came second in - hit reality show Hell's Kitchen with fiery chef Marco Piere White. The same year she starred opposite Gary Kemp in the film Karma Magnet, directed by Martin Kemp.

Recently Adele has appeared in the forthcoming films Just For The Record opposite Billy Murray and Doghouse with Danny Dyer, Stephen Graham and Noel Clarke.
