Alison trained in musical theater at the Urdang Academy and specialized on the acting course. She has twenty years of gymnastic training and has represented Great Britain in display gymnastics travelling the world attending events. She choreographed the winning Junior Gymnastic Display Team at the British Championships.
In 2007, she auditioned for the heroine icon Lara Croft for the latest Tomb Raider: Underworld video game and in August 2008, while working as a receptionist at a golf club she was officially announced as the new face for Lara Croft.
She had to undertake a series of courses which included SAS survival, combat and semi-automatic weapons training in Eastern Europe, and a crash course in world archaeology to prepare her for the action heroine role that would be Lara Croft.
Her promotional work continued with travels to South Africa, Dubai, Australia, Europe and Singapore where she performed live stunts for television and magazine/press shoots. She is known for being the "Action Lara" because she does all of her own stunts.
She has been cast in many feature films and has appeared in advertising campaigns for various brands.
