Alison Louder is known for her work on Helix (SyFy 2015), Being Human (SyFy 2011-2014), Elephant Song (2014), On the Road (2012), and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). She is ranked #3 Best Actress in the 2014 Best Of Montreal poll. Alison is an alum of the Professional Theatre Department (Dome Theatre) at Dawson College in Montreal, New York's Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and Jacqueline McClintock's Orphanspace Studio, where she studied Meisner technique for 6 years.
Growing up in Montreal, Alison became fluently bilingual in English and French, having been naturalized in both languages since birth. Alison's strong theatre background includes developing several new plays at Playwrights' Workshop Montreal and Canada's National Theatre School, and going behind the scenes as Assistant Director/Producer for Montreal's premiere production of Ariel Dorfman's Speak Truth To Power, which sold out and received critical acclaim in 2009.
