Alycia was born and raised in West Los Angeles. Her Mother is an artist and a teacher. Her father Ron Grant, is a Emmy nominated film and television composer, and an Academy award winning technical innovator. She is third generation Los Angeles, coming from a long line or artists, consume designers, studio musician's, and photographer (Alan Grant). She got her first role at the age of 4, plying Holly Hunter's daughter in the TV movie Roe Vs. Wade. Her parents wanted to to give her time to fall into a profession of her own choosing, and she took a break from TV and film, to study and develop. However she continued to perform in school plays (and in her living room, on a regular basis)
Alycia attended Alexander Hamilton High School Music Academy, where she majored in Drama, Voice and also attended AP art studio classes. She majored in Theater Arts at UCSC, but left school early, and returned home to Los Angeles, to pick up where her parents left off.
She has an older sister, Lea Grant, who is a singer and a songwriter in the Bay Area.
Recently, Alycia is recurring as 'Meg' on Chasing Life ABCfamily and appeared on CSI. She has also performed in national commercials, like Home Depot, and Nissan.
