Amy Jennings - Biography

Amy Jennings grew up in Los Angeles but first started acting in 1994 when she entered the Theatre Arts Program at Sonoma State University. She completed her BA in theatre after being taught by world-renowned artists such as Augusto Boal, Eugene Lazarev, Virginia Ness-Ray, Anatoly Smeliansky and Diablomundo. Once graduated she performed for several years on stage in the San Francisco area receiving critics acclaim as well as the opportunity to perform overseas in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Amy moved back into Los Angeles in 2008, transitioning into film. As of 2010 Amy had acquired over 10 film credits playing a variety of character roles from junkies to housewives. All of her characters have a depth and intense nature holding true to the stories of the characters she is portraying. Look for her first mainstream feature, Yellow Rock, starring Michael Beihn and James Russo, coming out winter 2011.
