Amy Jo Berman - Biography

Amy Jo Berman has been a powerful influence and tastemaker in the entertainment industry for nearly two decades. As Vice President of Casting at HBO for 14+ years, Amy oversaw and facilitated the casting of more than 150 films, mini-series and series, and her casts have won countless Emmy and Golden Globe awards. While at HBO, Amy worked on dozens of critically acclaimed projects with highly regarded directors, producers and actors worldwide. Some of Amy's best-known projects include John Adams, Recount, Game of Thrones, Angels in America, The Pacific, Elizabeth I, Grey Gardens, Rome, Boardwalk Empire and Game Change. In addition to her eye for recognizing new and emerging talent, Amy has a unique gift for working with actors and extracting performances of which even they didn't know they were capable. When it comes to casting, Amy believes each project brings unique benefits and challenges. Having 14 years of experience at a major studio, combined with her creative vision, Amy has a unique perspective and an ability to view a project from sides that others might miss.
