Anna Karin - Biography

Anna Karin was born in Sweden. Her mother was a medical nurse and her father a prominent criminal investigator. She is a descendant of Nordic Royalty "King Oscar II", King of Sweden and Norway.

Anna started her career at 17 as a model and then actress. She lived in numerous countries including England, Spain, Sweden and Italy before arriving in the United States. She was previously married to Arthur Diller and Chris Majer.

After making a few films in Spain and Italy she landed the supportive role in the Swedish TV-Series "Polisen som vagrade ta semester". She is credited with numerous commercials throughout Europe before being cast in several Hollywood films, and received her SAG card on her first film "Red Shoes Diaries" with David Duchovny. She was professionally trained by Sandy Marshall (Meisner) and Roy London.

Anna continued being cast in leading and supporting roles which examples include the Sundance-acclaimed "Red Meat" with John Slattery, Jennifer Grey, Lara Flynn Boyle and James Frain. In EDtv she was cast opposite Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey directed by Ron Howard. In "Sacred Cargo" she starred with Martin Sheen, Chris Penn and J.T. Walsh. Her notable television credits include HBO's "The Ben Stiller Show".

Her recent credits include: "Enough about Jack" (Pilot 2014) - Supporting role with Lara San Giacomo, Gail O'Grady, Jeffrey Byron and Dash Dobrofsky. "Real Husbands of Hollywood" (2014) - Guest Starring role with Kevin Hart, Nelly, Duane Martin and Boris Kodjoe. "I Do" - Starring role and Associate Producer with Kevin McCarthy and Brian Tochi. "Ashley's Ashes" -Supporting role with Gigi Rice, Daniel Baldwin, Clint Howard, Scott Michael Foster, Googy Gress and Lee Arenberg. "YonderQuest" -Starring role, Co-creator and Co-producer - A travel/comedy internet series with a stellar YouTube viewers - over 1,600,000 followers.

Current Projects in development: . "Talking to wise women" Created and produced by Anna and originally distributed by "The Cinema Guild" to the educational markets. Her current development work now is to provide a more commercial approach including a TV program based on the original material, a book and a web-site that will help and guide young women today. "Land of the Condor"; A book based on Anna's spiritual journeys in the Amazon while visiting Shamans (based on Anna's personal diary). Anna is an avid photographer targeting photography exhibitions.

Anna is also dedicated to personal empowerment. Her research engaged her in shamanic journeys with several shamans, by experiencing life changing journey to the Amazon with "The Pachamama Alliance". Her travels included providing hands on support and personal funding in preserving the Earth's tropical rain forest by empowering indigenous people who remain our natural custodians along with contributing to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all. She was an active participant with several Junior League supporting projects for women building better communities. She has worked with the elderly in providing the health benefits of Comfort dogs bringing opportunities to touch people with care, unconditional love, acceptance, and comfort.

Anna is a graduate of the "Hoffman Process" from the Hoffman Institute as well as the Landmark Forum.

Anna is both an American and Swedish Citizen. She has a US and EU passport.
