Antonio Cupo was born in Vancouver, Canada, on 10 January 1978. His father, Manlio, comes from a small town in Italy named Palomonte and his mother, Lucia, was born in Barletta. The Cupo family emigrated to Canada in 1968. Antonio is the youngest of three children. He has an older brother, Sabato, and an older sister, Carmelina Cupo. Antonio lives between Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Rome, Italy. He graduated in English Literature with an emphasis in Theatre at the University of British Columbia. He is an actor and a musician. Lead singer of the rock band "Hybrid Cartel." He also won several national songwriting competitions in Canada. Recently, Antonio played the romantic leading role in the Italian TV series Elisa di Rivombrosa (2003), which had an average of over 10 million viewers and was the most successful Italian series in the history of Italian TV. The series is also airing in fifteen other European and Asians countries.
