Ariane Von Kamp - Biography

Ariane grew up in Chappaqua, N.Y. the town of the Clintons. She studied performing arts and design at Horace Greeley High School and graduated from The State University of New York at Albany's Government program at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, rated one of the top 3 Government schools in US News and World Report. After graduation, she worked for the NY State Senate and completed a MA in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

Performing in Europe for a year, she then went on to study acting and writing at the New School for Social Research's MFA program with the Actors Studio and Yale School of Drama in London.

After success of her play Trials of the Fire which premiered in NY, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue film studies.

Ariane is the daughter of Theo Georg Kamp IV from Holland and Germany. Her father, Ted was one of the co-founders of The Committee of Homeland Security after the attacks on 9/11, Commadore of The Coast Guard Auxiliary in Westchester County, New York, a professional race car driver as well as yachtsman and member of The Corinthian Yacht Club.

Ariane learned to drive at the age of 2 and became a sailing instructor at the age of 13.

Her mother, Adele, is a painter, author and English Literature Professor at Pace University. Ariane has one brother, musician Ted Russell Kamp, who plays with Shooter Jennings.
