Ariel Kaplan - Biography

Ariel Kaplan is an Australian actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her role as Lisa Atwood #2 on "The Saddle Club". She is the younger sister of Dena Kaplan and Gemma-Ashley Kaplan. Ariel Kaplan and her sisters were born in South Africa, but their family moved to Australia. Ariel studied dance with The Jane Moore Academy of Ballet in Melbourne, Australia, and singing and piano with Harry Mullany. Her first performance in professional theatre was in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". She then played Molly in "Annie", Gretel in "The Sound of Music", and Young Cossette in "Les Miserables". Ariel Kaplan gained wide prominence in 2006 when she shared the role with four other girls as Nala in "The Lion King". She was then invited to perform the role for a year in Shanghai. Ariel Kaplan got her big break when she was selected to play Lisa Atwood in Season 3 of "The Saddle Club". Ariel Kaplan has also appeared on television shows Skithouse and Hamish and Andy and has appeared in television commercials for Target and Snugfit. Ariel Kaplan graduated from Mount Scopus Memorial College. When she was doing Season 3 of "The Saddle Club" she put her schoolwork aside to concentrate on working on the series.
