Arjun Rampal - Biography

Arjun Rampal is from the humble town of Jabalpur and went to Delhi to complete his education.

At a high end party, being conducted at a discotheque in Delhi Arjun, he caught the eye of one of India's most well known fashion designers, Rohit Bal. Thereafter, Rohit Bal took Arjun in his aide and promoted him extensively so he became a successful male model.

In 1994, Arjun proclaimed the title for 'Society's Face Of The Year'. And soon after went on to become an Indian Supermodel.

From there, director-producer Rajiv Rai started promoting Arjun Rampal. Rajiv first made Arjun a part of his music video "Don't Marry" with model Namrata Baruwah doing the female honors for the music video. Then Rajiv again cast Arjun but this time in his film. The movie was titled "Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat" (2001). He was cast alongside Kirti Reddy, Sunil Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. Though the film flopped, Arjun managed to make his way into people's hearts.

Despite being applauded by critics, Arjun was not able to get a hit movie. However, it increased his popularity and he started to become one of the top actors of the industry. His big chances came with supporting roles in Don (2006) and Rock On!! (2008), with the latter winning him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also earned acclaim for his villainous roles in Om Shanti Om (2007) and Ra.One (2011).

Arjun was also a part of the Temptation world tour with Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Later, he toured the world for Hearthrob.

While becoming one of the most popular actors of Bollywood without even getting a successful lead role, Arjun Rampal finally got a hit with a lead role in We Are Family (2010) opposite Kajol and Kareena Kapoor. Arjun has also produced a movie I See You (2006), which featured him in a lead role.

Arjun won a National award for his role in Rock On! And won massive critical acclaim for DDay in 2013.

Arjun loves sports and is a fitness freak. He also owns a night club and plays as a DJ some times.
