Art Chudabala - Biography

Art Chudabala was born and raised in Los Angeles by Thai parents who instilled a strong work ethic and encouraged Art's development as an artist. His acting career began in 1987, at the age of seventeen, starring opposite Christian Slater in Graeme Clifford's Skate Rider (1989).

After impressing casting director Elisabeth Leustig, he won the pivotal role of Slater's adopted Vietnamese brother, whose unexpected murder propels the story forward. When production wrapped, he finished high school and went on to achieve certification as a sound engineer from the Los Angeles Recording Workshop in Studio City, CA. to begin a career in the music industry.

After graduation, Art spent the next six months in Thailand working to get a recording studio off the ground. And, although that business venture failed, the lessons learned would serve him well back in Hollywood. Upon his return, he pursued a degree in music and film from Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. and rejuvenated his acting career.

He has since appeared in a strong list of feature films, including Adrian Lyne's Proposition indécente (1993), Kathryn Bigelow's Strange Days (1995), Irwin Winkler's La maison sur l'océan (2001) and, most recently, Steven Spielberg's La guerre des mondes (2005) and Paul Haggis' Oscar-winning film, Collision (2004).

On television, he has appeared on numerous shows and his notable guest-starring credits include À la maison blanche (1999), Six pieds sous terre (2001), FBI - Portés disparus (2002), Urgences (1994), Chicago Hope, la vie à tout prix (1994), Les experts (2000), Alias (2001) and Grey's Anatomy (2005).

He resides in Los Angeles, continues to act and works as a producer and film editor. Art's editorial and producing credits include such independent features as My Sweet Killer (1999), Hard Luck (2001) (Film Kitchen), Valentina's Tango (2007) (Wolf Cub Films) and Distortion (2006) (Rialto Films), as well as the behind-the-scenes DVD content for Sony Pictures' "Underworld Franchise" and Showtime's Californication (2007).
