Born 9 December 1990 in Brisbane, Australia, Brewer began her acting career at the tender age of 12 when she joined the children's show The Sleepover Club (2003). A week after graduation she arrived in Melbourne to look for acting work and auditioned for the ongoing role of Kate Ramsay in the long-running soap opera Les voisins (1985). After her debut in May 2009 Brewer was nominated the following year for the "Most Popular New Female Talent Logie Award". She stayed with the show for 5 years until she decided to try her luck in the US. It wasn't before long that Brewer scored the role of Ivy Forrester on the CBS Daytime soap opera Amour, gloire et beauté (1987), making her debut in July 2014.
