Autumn Withers - Biography

Autumn Withers grew up in South Carolina where she spent her early years studying the Cecchetti method of ballet. Her first taste of acting was a childhood role in Shag: The Movie with Phoebe Cates. A gifted dancer, she trained at North Carolina School of the Arts and by eighteen, landed a role in the original Broadway production Yo' Alice, directed by Maurice Hines. The theater arts continued to take center stage when Autumn was accepted into the famed Radio City Rockettes. Being the daughter of a physician and dental hygienist, education was important, so in between performing she earned a B.A. in Advertising with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Georgia, Summa Cum Laude.

Autumn then hung up her dance shoes and relocated to Los Angeles where she began guest starring on shows such as Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, and Army Wives. She also recurred on the JASH network's quirky comedy and official Sundance selection Catherine, opposite Jenny Slate. Her comedic work with Slate continued on Disney's Stray Day, directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp.

Withers has studied acting at Steppenwolf West and The Groundlings School. She is "a deeply funny woman with a bright career" said executive producer Steven Levitan. Her sensibilities have been likened to a young Diane Keaton meets Allison Janney. Other credits include Growing Up Fisher, Masters of Sex, various characters on Funny or Die's news sketch E&N with Ed Neusbit, and a supporting role in the gritty feature Any Day with Sean Bean and Eva Longoria. She also stars in dark comedy indie, Avalanche, where she plays "Nina," a real estate attorney whose life unravels when her librarian husband catches her having an affair.

When not acting, Autumn creates original, female-centric content with her writing/producing partner Ryann Ferguson. In addition, she is a photographer and songwriter. She is also the founder of the Hollywood Women's Collective, a non-profit women's goal group dedicated to empowering women and engendering a spirit of support and giving back.
