Ayanna Berkshire - Biography

Ayanna Berkshire is an American actress, originally from the remote San Juan Islands in Washington State. Ayanna was just three years old when she began performing on stage as a dancer and young actress. It was her love of theater and French film in particular, which led her to move to Paris when she was 18 years old. She found work as a nanny by day and photo stylist by night in the Paris fashion industry; all the while attending school, studying the French language.

Ayanna's film acting credits include her role as Cora in the first of the Twilight Movie Saga: "Twilight", based on the best selling books by Stephenie Meyer and directed by Catherine Hardwicke. NBC's "Grimm" as Dr. Rose, 2010's "Extraordinary Measures" by director Tom Vaughan, starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser, Kelly Reichardt's "Wendy and Lucy" starring Michelle Williams (2008), "The Dust Factory" starring Ryan Kelley, Hayden Panettiere and Armin Mueller-Stahl. Peter Paige's feature directorial debut, "Say Uncle" starring Kathy Najimy, Melanie Lynskey, Anthony Clark and Gabrielle Union. Ayanna made her Producing debut came with Fictitious Film's "Reality Check".
