Beau was born in 1980, one minute before her twin sister Blaze in Spanish Harlem. Raised in Manhattan by parents Rita and Roger Berdahl, she worked regularly on television commercials, voice overs and plays. After graduating in 1998 from Humanities Highschool as student body vice president, she was accepted into The University Of Boulder Colorado at Boulder. A love of snowboarding and the Rocky Moutains influenced her choice heavily. She graduated in 2002 with a BA in Fine Arts (emphasis Photography). She is currently living in Venice, California and works at a successful Commercial Talent Agency.
