Ben began his career in theatre as an actor and director, running his own theatre company in the North East of England. On moving to London, Ben studied acting at the Drama Centre and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. For the past twenty years his career has been predominantly in film and television, where he has played leading roles in a number of major long-running UK dramas.
Ben's first film as a director "I'm sorry to tell you " has played at the New York Independant film festival, London Short film festival, one shot film festival and the Ifilmaker festival as well as several others across the world. His second film Taubman is due for release in January 2016. Ben set up his own production company Bolo Films a collective of filmmakers from the north of England. His third film is in preproduction.
