Bethany Ashton Wolf - Biography

Wolf has been as a working, independent feature writer/director for the past 10 years. She began her career co-writing the controversial indie short Don's Plum, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. She wrote and directed 2 award-winning short films, The Burgundy Room and Wait, followed by her first theatrical feature, the Cajun drama Little Chenier, which won 21 awards on the festival circuit, including 10 Best Picture Awards and 6 International Best American Film Awards. She has had numerous screen writing assignments for independent companies, including Bullrider (Elevations Films), On the 12th Day (Radio London Films), A Surrogate Life (Wendy Riche Productions), and she just completed a screenplay based on the book Other People's Love Letters for Laurence Mark Productions. Wolf's latest screenplay Love Scene, based on the book Vivien: The Life of Vivien Leigh, chronicles the 30-year, tragic love story of Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier.
