Branca Ferrazo - Biography

Branca is more than an actress; she is an Aerial Actress. A true artist with many titles: Actress/Acrobat/Aerialist/Trapeze Artist, Director, Writer and Producer. She is the founder of RAW Productions (Real Authentic Wisdom Productions), and started working behind the cameras as well as in front, in the feature film "Petunia", with great cast including Brittany Snow, Thora Birch, David Rasche and Emmy, Golden Globe and Academy Award winner Christine Lahti.

Branca Ferrazo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to actress Olga Danitch and producer Antonio Paulo Ferraz, and comes from a Brazilian-Russian family.

She trained at the renowned American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in New York City (notable alumni include: Hank Azaria, Lauren Bacall, Ann Bancroft, Adrien Brody, Danny DeVito and Anne Hathaway) and at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, a school who's alumni includes Academy Award winners Daniel Day-Lewis and Jeremy Irons - and other noted actors such as: Patrick Stewart, Pete Postlethwaite and Miranda Richardson.

Branca has worked around the globe, including countries like her native Brazil, the US, the UK, Canada and Italy.

She is also a Cirque du Soleil aerialist with extensive professional background - her specialty apparatus being the Corde Lisse/Rope. Branca is also experienced in Tissu/Aerial Silks/Fabric, Lyra/Aerial Hoops, and Trapèze Fixe and Ballant (static and swinging trapeze).

She trained with Cirque du Soleil's André Simard, also performing with Simard's innovative aerial company Les Gens d'R.

She also trains Trapèze Ballant technique in Montréal with Cirque du Soleil's coach Victor Fomine, and former Cirque du Soleil rope artist Irena Purschke.
