Branden Coles - Biography

Branden Coles is an accomplished actor who has enjoyed a steady rhythm of work appearing in a number of distinguished projects for various directors and producers including Joey Curtis the screenwriter for 'Blue Valentine' feature film starring Ryan Gosling in 2010. The movie had one academy award nomination and two Golden Globe nominations. Branden also recently worked with Academy Award Short Film nominee Director Bryan Buckley, in Longbeach, California, on a short movie comedy playing the lead role. Curtis currently directs Branden in the feature film "Winter's Dream" a futuristic sci-fi action film in the year AD 2307 in which Branden plays the sinister humanoid robot "Ash393". Concurrently Armen Gharabegian who wrote the book "Protocol 7 the Book: Part One of the Arctica Trilogy and is now making its film version is directing Branden in the role of "Max" -- the aggressive best friend of Simon whose father has disappeared. This is an action packed three part trilogy with many twists and turns which will follow Branden to its end. Branden worked as a child model and as an extra in films and by the age of 16 secured a place at the International School at Screen Acting where he studied drama learning the acting methods the Meisner' and 'Chubbock' techniques for acting for camera in film and television. He also studied screen combat, horseback and motorcycle riding - in order to give him an edge over others in the physically demanding roles he planned to pursue. For a time, Branden worked as an IT executive while serving as a personal trainer and fitness model, and while in pursuit of his dream of becoming a full-time professional actor. Branden is best known for his dramatic roles in the television series "Grass Roots" and in the short film "Frank's Inertia" but his successes range from musicals in theatre productions in 'Guys and Dolls' to drama, action, sci-fi and thrillers in the feature film "Let Battle Commence" by Irresistible Films, the short film "Twisting Into Place" by Josh Lyan, "Jupiter Ascending" by Village Roadshow Pictures, feature film "Mythica" by Arrowstorm Entertainment, the feature film "Moving On" by First Lady Productions, and many more, delivering him much acclaim as a leading actor. Branden has received various prestigious press reviews for the number of the lead movie roles he has played and he has been entered into a number of European festivals for best actor nominee.
