Rochester, NY born Bruce Michaels is a night club performer as well as a stage and film actor. On stage his roles have included King Arthur (Camelot), "Professor" Harold Hill (The Music Man), and the scarecrow (The Wizard of Oz). He portrayed a character known only as "Village Elder" in the 2015 film SAMCA), a supernatural thriller set in Europe during the dark ages. The role required him to age over 30 years during the tale's story.
Also a singer/songwriter/musician, he is known for his one-man show, "Dinner With The Rat Pack (and more!)" as well as for being the stadium organist for the Durham Bulls (2001-2011) and Greensboro Grasshoppers (2011-present) baseball teams.
With an announcing background - Mr. Michaels was the race-caller for several years at the Cleveland, OH area harness track - Northfield Park - he later worked in broadcasting as a radio DJ/news director and in television as a sports director, news director, and morning show host.
In 2014, his first book, "Shrink!" was published, wherein he describes the challenges he faced in losing his increasing middle-age spread before learning how to shed it for good (which he shares), in less than five months.
Mr. Michaels began hosting a weekly web show in November, 2014.
