Cassandre Leigh was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She spent the greater portion of her youth desiring a career in theatrics or gymnastics; her mother and then step father, however, pushed her into the sciences and wanted her to become a medical doctor. Cassandre latched onto every theatrical experience she could throughout school, participating in musicals, plays, and multiple choral groups; she even formed and got elected president of the Glee Club at her high school. She also dedicated 15 years of her life to gymnastics before realizing that (despite her excellence, dedication and scores on the floor) her parents would never let her compete on an international level. At one point she lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 ½ years when her step father's job moved her family overseas during Operation Desert Storm. She accounts some of these times as "frightening" and clearly remembers running for cover as the air raid sirens sounded out. This meant one thing: she was ecstatic when she returned to her birth state of Alaska to finish out her high school years. Cassandre continued her quest for knowledge when she graduated and took to the University of Alaska Anchorage in a successful attempt to further her education from 2002-2006, where she received her B.S. in nursing. She has since put in time at several upstanding medical facilities. After establishing her career as a nurse, Cassandre Leigh decided to finally pursue her passion for acting. Not long after, she played roles in two short films that did more than well: "Contained" won audience choice at the second annual 48hr film competition, and a film spoken entirely in Russian entitled, "Regina Potentissima Thamar" which took $5,000.00 and 1st place at the Great Alaskan short film contest. She has now played the leading roles in multiple feature films and says that she'll "never be done honing the art" that she fell in love with as a child.
