Catherine O'Hara - Biography

Born March 4, 1954 in Ontario, Canada. Attended Burnhamthorpe Collegiate Institute. Began career with starring on television series Second City TV (1976). Notable films roles include: the over-dramatic and self-centered Delia Deetz in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (1988), Kate McCallister, Macaulay Culkin's on-screen mother in Maman, j'ai raté l'avion! (1990) and its sequel Maman, j'ai encore raté l'avion (1992). Catherine would later star in a string of Christopher Guest's mockumentary films including: Waiting for Guffman (1996), Bêtes de scène (2000), A Mighty Wind (2003), and For Your Consideration (2006).
