Charlene deGuzman was born and raised in San Jose, California. At age six, she begged her parents for dance lessons after seeing Rudy Huxtable tap dance on The Cosby Show. They happily obliged, and she spent her childhood as a competitive dancer. After dropping out of Arizona State University, she moved to New York City to perform Off-Broadway, then eventually on tour. Currently in Los Angeles, Charlene first garnered attention tweeting as @charstarlene on Twitter, then posting shorts on YouTube, like the viral film, "I Forgot My Phone."
