Charlie Palmer - Biography

Charlie began his career in the camera department of Samuelson Film Services. From there he went freelance and worked for a number of years as a clapper loader, focus puller, operator and VFX cameramen. He worked across a huge range of projects including documentaries about Wittengstein and Nabokov, pop videos for Pink Floyd and the Cult and corporates for John Cleese's company Video Arts, TV dramas and features such as The Camomile Lawn, A Dance to The Music of Time, Shooting the Past, Bend it Like Beckham and Star Wars

In 2000 in made a short film starring Bill Nighy and Miranda Richardson, which lead to more work as a director. Credits include: Poldark, Death in Paradise, Doctor Who, Lark Rise to Candleford, Poriot, Midsomer Murders, Miss Marple, Lewis and Doc Martin
