Chris Bouchard - Biography

Chris Bouchard is a British director. He is known for London crime-comedy Hackney's Finest and Tolkien short film The Hunt For Gollum which had 12Million+ views on YouTube. He also works in the visual effects industry often with Academy award winning studio Framestore.

Chris began making films at the University of York Cinematography Society in 2001 where he studied music technology and electronics. He then worked as a music composer for short film and video projects. He worked in sound post-production, including working for Dolby Laboratories before moving into the world of digital effects at academy award winning visual effects studio Framestore in London. He is an active film-maker, producer and director, creating high concept crowd-sourced films.

His most notable film is the acclaimed Tolkien adaptation The Hunt For Gollum. Critics praised the feature-film level production values which were achieved on a very low budget. Positive reviews were posted on IMDb and in the media. Then in 2014 his first feature Hackney's Finest was officially selected to premiere at London's East End Film Festival.
