Christine Peters - Biography

Christine began to make her mark in Hollywood when she moved here from London with her 7 languages in hand and became Vice President of Foreign Sales and Distributions for Los Angeles based firm, Intercontinental Releasing Corporations.

Peters then joined Guber-Peters Company, where she played a critical role in developing films such as the Witches Of Eastwick, Gorillas In The Mist, Batman, and Rainman. From there Peters moved into her own production deal at Sony Pictures where she helped produce Batman Returns, Tango & Cash, Money Train, This Boy's Life, and Bonfire Of The Vanities, among others. As well, she championed a life story of international acclaimed paleontologist and wildlife activist Richard Leaky entitled Africa which is currently begin turned into a film starring Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie directing.

In 1993, she teamed up with the legendary academy award-winning producer Robert Evans. During their 10 year partnership, Peters developed a diverse slate that has collectively grossed more than $200 million worldwide. Their credits include Jade (1995), The Saint (1997), The Phantom (1996) and The Out-Of-Towners (1999). From 1999 to 2003, Christine was also West Coast Contributing Editor for Miramax's Talk Magazine.

In 2004, Christine produced the international hit How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (2003). The film theatrically grossed $106 million in the U.S. and $77 million worldwide and in the process it launched the career of actress Kate Hudson. To date, the film has brought in nearly half a billion in revenue through it's theatrical release and ancillaries.

Most recently Christine has launched Marmont Lane Entertainment. Marmont has packaged and developed a slate of female empowered comedies which include Best Enemies to be directed by Donald Petrie (How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Miss Congeniality). Revenge Wedding to be directed by Walt Becker (Van Wilder, Wild Hogs, Old Dogs).

Christine has assembled a diverse team from production to financial modeling, licensing and merchandising, to product integration.
