Christopher Gerse - Biography

Christopher was born in California on October 19, 1991. Chris entertained his family with imitations of his favorite actor Jim Carrey and became interested in the performance arts. He began taking acting lessons and repeatedly asked his Mom to let him become an actor. Finally in 2001, Chris began his career, booking in rapid succession Commercials for McDonalds, Kellogg's, Cap n'Crunch, Pledge and The Boy Scouts of America. Chris has also Guest Starred in television episodes of NBC's ER, Fox's Malcolm in the Middle and The Bernie Mac Show and CBS's The District. Shortly after production wrapped on Warner Bros Pictures, `The Whole Ten Yards', producers were looking to cast a child actor to play a young Bruce Willis, who not only resembled Willis but who had "a lot of personality". Chris was cast and really enjoyed his first feature film experience, playing the young Jimmy `The Tulip' Tudeski. In the Fall of 2003, Chris won the role of `Will Roberts' in the long running NBC daytime drama, Des jours et des vies (1965). He has been warmly received by the fans of his onscreen Mom and Dad, Alison Sweeney (as Sami Brady) and Bryan Datillo, (as Lucas Roberts). Chris loves working with the cast and crew of the show. Chris is a favorite of everyone on the set for his professionalism, preparedness and warm personality. Chris' work on Days of Our Lives resulted in a nomination for a 2003 Young Artist Award, in the category of Best Younger Actor.

Chris receives on set tutoring for the days he works on Days of Our Lives, but attends his regular school the rest of the time, where he is an honor student. He integrates his acting profession with all of a typical pre teen's everyday life. He plays on his school's Basketball team and enjoys making films with his younger brother, playing video games and hanging out with friends. Chris is also an accomplished Piano Player. He has traveled with his family to Europe and especially enjoyed his trip to the Island of Capri, Italy. Chris speaks Italian and French. He participates in charities, especially those which support children such as, The Ronald McDonald House Children Charities.
