Clare Fogerty - Biography

Though born in Baltimore (Maryland, USA), Clare was raised on a small farm in Southern Pennsylvania. Her passion for acting began at an early age appearing in numerous stage shows throughout Southern Pennsylvania. In high school she starred in musicals and plays, and divided her time between competing with the speech and debate team, Irish dancing, and playing the cello. She even founded her own theater company, performing original plays on the family converted barn stage. Continuing to pursue her passion, Clare received a B.F.A. in Acting from Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She immersed herself in the Pittsburgh theater scene and also began starring in short films. She booked her first feature film The Routes of Wildflowers in Pittsburgh and picked up Best Supporting Actress award at the Victory Dance Film Festival. She also co-starred as "Chloe" on the hit web-series "Something To Be Desired", one of the first and longest running web-series ever created. After performing a few seasons at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA as an Irish joke-telling bartender, Clare decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Shortly after the move, she landed the role of "Jane" on the CW's "Plain Jane". She has also been featured in Backstage Magazine for her role as "Ariadne" in Kaptara, a horror/fantasy animation film. Clare also studied improv at Upright Citizens Brigade and Groundlings and continues to perform in the L.A. underground improv scene. She can also be found performing Shakespeare at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon.
