Courtney Deelen - Biography

Courtney grew up in rural Ontario. She is a graduate of St. Clair College's Musical Theatre Performance Program, where she had the opportunity of working with some amazing individuals including Melissa Williams, Peggy Coffey, Brad Rudy and Peter Van Gestel in the areas of acting, dance, voice and live theatre production.

Upon graduating, she had the pleasure of working as a dancer/singer at Diamond Tooth Gerties Casino in Dawson City and loved every second of the 6 month contract. Along with getting the chance to perform in 3 different shows 5 nights a week, she was fortunate enough to meet and interact with tourists from all over world. Courtney enjoyed the experience so much so, that she returned for a two-week winter review as well as a second full season in 2011.

After completing her final season in Dawson, Courtney settled in Toronto. After a few on-camera classes she fell in love with film/t.v acting and completely changed the focus of her career path. She began training with Matthew Harrison of The Actor's Foundry in BC as well as Sophie Anne Rooney in Toronto, became a member of ACTRA Toronto's YEAA committee and is currently taking on the challenge of producing a short written and directed by Michael T. Burgess.
