Cristina Ryan - Biography

Cristina Ryan was introduced to the performing arts at a young age. She trained as a ballet dancer and she was a member of the Billy Barry stage school. She was involved in several musical productions growing up. She took part in several 'Acting for Film' courses at the Gaiety School of Acting and studied classical violin and piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She completed a Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music, London and then returned to Ireland to do a Masters in Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She decided to pursue her love of acting and trained at the Irish Film Academy. In 2014, she was cast as the lead role of serial killer 'Sophie' beating over 2,500 applicants for the film adaptation of Natasha Whites book 'Camouflage' - due for international cinema release Autumn 2015. She is known for her role 'Celine' in the Irish Television program 'The Northsiders'. She recently played 'Amy' in the Irish feature film 'Soulsmith'. Other television appearances include Vkings Season 2 (History Channel/MGM) and RTE Damo and Ivor.
