Cynthia Kaye McWilliams was born in Berlin, Germany and raised primarily in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended and graduated from the prestigious Theater School of DePaul University in Chicago but has made her home in Los Angeles, CA.
Just out of college, Cynthia's first acting job was in the WB feature, The Lake House where she would play a small role opposite some big stars; Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. She then went on to work with Black Hollywood legend, Robert Townsend in the independent film, Of Boys and Men. Chicago offered many more opportunities, including another independent feature, One Small Hitch, a recurring role on the FOX's hit show, Prison Break and a lead role in the short lived pilot Family Practice. In Chicago she also appeared on FOX 's Chicago Code as beguiling assistant to Alderman Gibbons played by the formidable Delroy Lindo. Cynthia flew to LA for an opportunity to work with another Hollywood heavy hitter as sitcom wife to Damon Wayans in the CBS pilot, Herd Mentality.
She can now be seen as a series regular on BET's The Real Husbands of Hollywood with the hilarious Kevin Hart. While Kevin may be running things with Hartbeat Productions and throughout all of Hollywood, it's Cynthia's character, entertainment attorney to the stars, Trina Shaw that is running things with her "clients" Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, Nick Cannon and Nelly. Cynthia's impressive improvisational work on this hit show is a result of her studies in the theater and work throughout Kansas City and Chicago's stages. She also relies on that training in her vibrant voiceover career. Cynthia's voice is featured in national commercials, award winning video games, animated television series and features.
Cynthia is passionately committed to arts education and youth outreach.
