Raised in San Diego, California. Dale attended California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, California, majoring in Drama 1974-1976. He attended San Diego State University for his Certificate in Materials Management 1984.
After a 15 year theater career in San Diego, at houses such as the Old Globe Theater, San Diego Repertory, Starlight Musicals and La Jolla Playhouse, he moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to pursue Film and Television. He is a proud member of four entertainment unions, SAG-AFTRA, Actors Equity, and AGVA. He also serves as a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, American Film Institute and The Paley Center for Media.
