Dalton Cyr - Biography

Actor, Singer, Songwriter, Musician Dalton Chase Cyr was born in Jacksonville, Florida and began acting and singing after being inspired at a local musical production starring a friend of his. Cyr who had to overcome severe stage fright, discovered he could sing after making up his mind to audition for a production of "Willy Wonka". He landed the role of Mike Teavee his first time ever singing solo in public. Only 2 months after auditioning for Willy Wonka, he began singing and accompanying himself on ukulele and guitar in solo performances-doing 50 live performances his first year. Since then, he's built a strong following with fans around the world and become well known for instantly captivating audiences with his powerful guitar, intense vocal delivery and lively stage show of almost all original music written or co-written by Cyr. A prolific songwriter, he wrote and recorded his first original song at age 10, debuted his first EP (Self-titled) at age 11, his first LP (Titled "I'll Be There" at age 12, and is recording his 2nd album in L.A. and Nashville. Selected by international talent scouts as one of the 20 most talented songwriters aged 12-18 from around the world, he was the 2013 Prodigy Camp Scholarship recipient and was named one of the world's most promising songwriters by industry professionals. The Prodigy Camp allowed him to work with award winning songwriters, writers, directors and film producers. It was here that the acting bug bit Cyr hard and he began acting in short films. He is now pursuing a duel career in film and TV alongside his musical pursuits, relocating to Los Angeles, CA to do so. Cyr has toured throughout the country and appeared on TV, radio, and in numerous publications across the country. He supports multiple charities including Anti-Bullying and as the National Ambassador of The Dream Factory, an organization that grants dreams to critically and chronically ill children. He is managed by Allen and JoAnn Kepler of Kepler Entertainment.
