Daniel Barber - Biography

Daniel Barber is an award winning film and commercial director based out of London. Barber is perhaps best known for his 2009 film Harry Brown starring Michael Caine, which followed the release of his Oscar nominated short film The Tonto Woman in 2008. This year marks the anticipated release of his most recent feature project, The Keeping Room - a film set in Civil War America chronicling 3 women - 2 sisters and an African American Slave - as they fight to defend their home and themselves from two rogue soldiers who have broken off from the fast-approaching Union Army.

Barber has also had a successful career in advertising after opening commercial production company Knucklehead in 2005, where he is both a partner and a rostered director. Since, he has shot major award winning campaigns for the likes of Mini, Lexus, Audi, Adidas, Absolut, Audi, Becks Beer, The BBC, BMW, British Airways, Dunlop, Ford, Mercedes, Molson, McCain's, Norwich Union, O2, The Royal Air Force, Shell and Sony to name a few. Knucklehead also played a producing role on both of his feature films, Harry Brown and The Keeping Room.

Daniel Barber studied Graphic Design at St Martin's School of Art.
