Daniela Pestova - Biography

Strikingly tall (5' 11"), slim, and blue-eyed blonde beauty Daniela Pestova was born on October 14, 1970 in Teplice, Czechoslovakia. She stems from an upper-class family. Daniela was discovered at age 19 by Dominique Caffin of the Madison Modeling Agency at a theatre in Prague. Pestova initially planned on going to college, but after winning a modeling contest moved to Paris, France and signed up with the Madison Modeling Agency. She lived in France for two years prior to moving to New York City, where her modeling career really took off. Daniela has graced the covers of such notable magazines as "GQ," "Marie Claire," "Cosmopolitan," "Glamour," "Shape," "Fitness," and "Bikini." Pestova is probably best known for her numerous appearances in various "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit" issues; she was featured on the covers of the 1995, 2000, and 2006 editions. Moreover, in 1994 Daniela made a contract with L'Oreal to be their print model and spokesperson. She has also modeled for Guess? jeans and Victoria's Secret. Pestova earned the nickname "The Chameleon" for her ability to constantly change her look. Daniela married former Fashion Café CEO Tomasso Buti in 1995; the couple had a son named Yannick Fausto in 1996 and divorced in 1998. On July 21, 2002 Pestova gave birth to daughter Ella. Her current boyfriend is Slovak singer Pavol Habera. Pestova speaks fluent Czech, French, Russian, and Italian. Daniela Pestova lives in the Hamptons and has a second home in Miami, Florida.
