David Millbern - Biography

David Millbern is a multi-faceted actor who began his screen career in 1981. He is noted for his thought-provoking performances for a variety of roles across stage, film and television. He appeared in the biographical drama Ni dieux ni démons (1998) as the neurologist for the [terminally-ill] Frankenstein film director James Whale [portrayed by Ian McKellen]. In 2001, he portrayed a sheriff in the western drama Texas Rangers: La revanche des justiciers (2001), sharing the screen with a host of notable stars as well as newcomers ranging from established names Tom Skerritt and Dylan McDermott to fresh-faced TV series stars James Van Der Beek, Rachael Leigh Cook and Ashton Kutcher. Across the mid and late 2000s, David gave some memorable and diverse performances, beginning with the direct-to-video creature/horror film Chupacabra Terror (2005) as the con artist trying to escape [disguised in drag] the cruise ship that secretly housed the legendary creature. This was followed by a completely-different side of David's acting range when he played a villainous rogue military leader in the 2006 actioner In Her Line of Fire (2006) starring opposite David Keith as his captive U.S. Vice President and Mariel Hemingway as the opposing hero sent in to rescue the VP. He portrayed an indifferent U.S. research professor whose value for human life weighed less than his value for the monstrous spiders that escaped his lab to prey on the locals of a skiing resort in the 2007 TV creature film Ice Spiders (2007). When not making film or screen appearances, David often works in theater venues across the country. He has homes in Bel Air and in Vancouver.
