Dayna Devon - Biography

Dayna Devon is widely recognized as an entertainment news journalist, expert and host. As the longest running host of the nationally syndicated "Extra," she interviewed many of the world's most prominent celebrities, attending virtually every high-profile red carpet event from the Grammys to the Oscars for over ten years. She is now adding fashion designer to her list of credentials, launching a womens fitness and lifestyle brand called Dayna Devon in January.

Since her time at "Extra," Devon has hosted several shows for the Reelz Channel including their Fashion Fanatics series, as well as entertainment specials on Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana, which broke viewing records for the network.

In 2013, Devon was cast in the headline making TLC reality special Plastic Wives about the wives of the most high profile plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills.

Devon has appeared numerous times on both HSN and ShopHQ (formerly ShopNBC), breaking sales records for products in the weight loss category.

She has also been a regular commentator for CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and The TV Guide Channel. She has been a celebrity guest host on "The View" and has appeared on NBC's "Today Show" and CBS's "The Early Show." In addition, she has played herself on many popular TV shows including "Desperate Housewives," "CSI," "Three and a Half Men," "NCIS," and many others.

Over the years, Devon has been involved in many charity events and fundraisers including "Race to Erase MS" and has served as a spokesperson for the organization Teachers Count. She has hosted Ladies Home Journal magazine's "Funny Ladies We Love" event, and co-hosted More magazine's "Alpha Woman Award," honoring Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. In addition, she has co-hosted Movieline magazine's annual "Hollywood Style Hall of Fame Awards" as well as Hollywood Life's "Stylemakers Awards" for three consecutive years.

A native of Texas, Devon graduated from of the University of Texas at San Antonio. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
