Drew Matthews - Biography

The son of a pastor and music teacher, Drew was encouraged to perform in as many theatre productions as possible while growing up. He coupled that by studying piano, trumpet and guitar, all with a classical emphasis. After moving to several small towns in North Carolina that had no theatre programs, Drew set aside acting and started pursuing tennis. He eventually became a tennis professional after graduating from North Carolina State University. After teaching a tennis lesson to an actor, he was encouraged to go back and pursue his love of drama. He retired from tennis and has focused solely on Film and Television ever since.
