Actress Dru Mouser was born in Fort Worth, Texas. When she was an infant, her family, wanting to be near her grandparents, moved to the countryside- Glen Rose, Texas, where they stayed for ten years. Five children in all, Dru was the youngest. Dru considers her formative years as essential in developing her imagination and her desire to be an actress.
Moving back to Fort Worth, once she was in middle school, Dru started doing plays and went on to be the lead in almost every school production until graduating high school. Dru then enrolled, on a Theatre scholarship, at Texas Tech University. It was while majoring in Theatre there that she met Casting Director Toni Cobb Brock who helped her obtain an agent in Dallas, Texas.
At eighteen, Dru booked the first movie she auditioned for, which was a scene in the MGM motion picture, Rush. She continued to work steadily throughout Texas, eventually moving to Los Angeles where she could compete for more substantial roles. Dru now divides her time between Los Angeles and Dallas, Texas.
Dru and writer/ producer Cliff Dorfman welcomed their son, Dylan in June of 2004.
