Ed Fraiman - Biography

Ed Fraiman graduated from the Polish State Film School in 1998. He has since directed a broad range of drama for both the BBC and US network television.

Most recently Ed directed, 'Royal Pain's for the USA network. The drama stars Mark Feuerstein and is Ed's second collaboration with Exec Producer/Writer Michael Rauch. Ed and Michael previously worked together on CBS/Paramount's 'Life Is Wild' for the CW Network. Ed directed 4 episodes.

Other US television credits include 'The Philanthropist' for NBC. The drama was written and Exec Produced by Tom Fontana. Ed also directed 3 episodes of the Arthurian VFX drama Merlin for NBC and the BBC.

British television credits include the award winning procedural 'Murphy's Law' (BBC), 'A Thing Called Love' (BBC), 'Burn It' (BBC) and the critically acclaimed 'As If' (CH4). Ed also directed 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (BBC) which was nominated at the World Television Awards for Best Movie Made For Television.

For his feature debut, Ed has co-written and is attached to direct 'One By One', an edgy thriller based on a story by UK novelist Simon Kernick. Ed and Paul Stahelli adapted it for screen with Jason Newmark at Dan Films producing.

Ed's short films have won a number of international film awards, including Best Short Film at the inaugural Rushes Soho Short Film Festival and the Gold Plaque at Chicago International Film Festival. Upon his graduation from film school, Ed was awarded the coveted Best Newcomer Award from the Directors Guild of Great Britain.

Ed lives in Venice Beach, California.
