Elana Safar - Biography

Elana Safar started performing as a child near her hometown of Livingston, NJ and continued to sing, act and dance locally, winning a national soloist award in high school. After graduating with a B.A in Politics from Brandeis University, she moved to New York to study acting at William Esper's two-year conservatory under noted teacher Terry Knickerbocker. In addition to appearing on TV's "Damages" and a music video for the band FUN, she was part of original staged readings of "A Tomato Cant Grow In The Bronx" opposite Brooke Shields and "Hanky Panky" opposite Tovah Feldshuh. She has also sung at The Duplex, The Triad, The Underground and improvised with Upright Citizens Brigade.

Elana is guest starring on the upcoming series "Small Miracles," based on the Oprah-favorited bestselling novels, starring Judd Hirsch & Kathryn Kates.
