Erik C. Bloomquist - Biography

As an actor, Erik has appeared in a variety of independent films, industrials, commercials and television shows, most recently THE MYSTERY OF MATTER for PBS and SECRETS OF THE ARSENAL for the American Heroes Channel. Theatrically, he has performed with dozens of regional, touring and educational companies in the northeast, including Hartford Stage, Ivoryton Playhouse, Capital Classics, Connecticut Opera, Legacy Theatre and Connecticut Cabaret Theatre. He has also directed, musical directed and choreographed several plays and musicals in New England, including prolific productions of CARRIE THE MUSICAL, RENT, INTO THE WOODS and ZANNA DON'T!

Behind the camera, Erik has the distinction of being a Top 200 Director on HBO's Project Greenlight, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. His current projects include FOUNDERS DAY, a murder mystery feature in development, and THE COBBLESTONE CORRIDOR, a tongue-in-cheek neo-noir currently playing on CPTV, ShortsHD TV, VOD and at film festivals across the United States. Both projects have received international media attention on television, web, radio and in print. Of THE COBBLESTONE CORRIDOR, Influx Magazine raves, "A well-scripted setup and payoff, [proves] THE COBBLESTONE CORRIDOR's young writer-director (and star) knows what he's doing... There's a lot of enjoyment packed into... twenty-five minutes." His projects have played festivals and aired on television around the world. Erik's newest short, GHOST TOUR, made an exclusive online premiere in October.

Erik has taught master classes throughout the northeast and served as Artist-in-Residence at Avon Old Farms School. He graduated cum laude from Trinity College with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance and is an alumnus of the London Dramatic Academy in London, England.
