Etalvia Cashin - Biography

Etalvia Cashin is an actress born of French Creole descent - with primary roots from the Ivory Coast of West Africa, she is also a distinctly special mix of Irish, Spanish, & Native American. Originally from Houston Texas, she is a prime example of the Creole woman from the bayous of Southeast Louisiana. She grew up around an abundance of diversity and is bilingual in English & Spanish.

Etalvia's performance skills have been cultivated ever since entering into performing arts school at the tender age of 4 years old. Her performing arts education was centered around theatre arts, classic piano, and dance. She is a classically trained dancer in the style of ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. She is also a former competitive cheerleader & dancer, academic scholar, and true thespian.

At 17, Etalvia earned a Business Marketing & Theatre Arts scholarship to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. She then relocated to Los Angeles to further her education and pursue a career in Film & Television as an actor. Soon after, she was on the set of Star Trek (2009) earning her stripes. While still in school, Etalvia made an appearance in the 2010 comedy Date Night starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. In the starring role, Etalvia lead indie film Okechukwu to critical praise at Warner Brothers' Studios for the LMU Film Outside the Frame Awards in 2012. The film was also presented at Hollywood Black Film Festival, Roxbury Film Festival in Boston, Texas Black Film Festival in Dallas, and Pan African Film Festival in Hollywood to name a few.

Upon graduation, Etalvia continued to work consistently on sitcom The Neighbors (2013) and web-series Breaking Point, where she was apart of an award winning ensemble cast at the LAWebFest. Immediately following, her comedic skills were tapped for the feature film Cuffing Season (2013) as the lead female character Chase. She then became apart of a star-studded cast in Joe Carnahan's (Smokin' Aces) thriller Stretch (2014) playing alongside Jessica Alba and Brooklyn Decker. Most recently, Etalvia secured a role in the fresh comedy-horror movie The Sand (2015) as the mysterious Heather.

Etalvia Cashin is a hard-working professional actress backed by a meteor of ambition. She continues to strive on mastering her craft to add value to her technique.
