Fiona Fu - Biography

Fiona Fu is a multiple award-winning television host, director and producer, with over 15 years of experience in network broadcast both in China and Canada. She is best known for her work on Blood and Water (2015) _, Man in the High Castle (2015) _ and Minority Report (2015) _. She will star in the upcoming television series Blood and Water (2015)_, in which she made her debut as an actress.

Fiona was born in China, grew up in an intellectual family that encouraged her literary and artistic talent. Fiona had an undergraduate education in Chinese language and literature, and received graduate training in directing and producing as well as journalism. She started her career as a television news anchor in China.

Before Fiona moved to Canada, she worked as a host and director at China Central Television, the largest television network in Asia. Through her career in television, she worked in various capacities as news anchor, host, director, producer, newsroom editor and associate editor-in-chief.

Fiona started to diversify into new territories after she moved to Canada. She obtained an MBA degree with honors from Lawrence Technology University, served as media director for a US-based music production company. She also has been working as producer, scriptwriter and presenter for a number of multilingual and multicultural broadcasters in Canada, while expanding her interests to feature films and television dramas.

While she never expected to be an actress, but working the behind scenes for feature film and TV dramas, and being a presenter for commercials, triggered her interests and inspired her into acting. After attending acting classes and participating in actor workshops, she landed the leading role in the TV series Blood and Water.

Fiona lives in Vancouver today, actively working on multilingual multicultural co-productions in addition to performances.
