Flula Borg - Biography

Flula Borg is a musician, DJ, host, actor, hype-man, and writer born and raised in Erlangen, Germany. His entertainment career first began as a Schuhplattler dancer.

Borg relocated to Los Angeles initially to further his music career, but almost immediately found work as an actor, host, and online personality, due in large part to his friendship with former roommate David Giuntoli, whom he met several years ago in Europe, while Giuntoli was traveling. When Borg moved to Los Angeles they reconnected, and their real life relationship became fodder for U-Verse Buzz (2007), a show Giuntoli was hosting, where Borg frequently made surprise appearances.

Known primarily as simply "Flula," Borg has also developed an extensive presence on the web--his YouTube catalogue alone has amassed almost 40 million views. In addition to producing vlogs (video blogs) and music videos, Flula has also regularly crashed press junkets, such as the Screen Junkies MashUps (2011) episode featuring the cast of the film Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2011), where he re-mixed their utterances into a techno track.

His Engineering degree--combined with his ability to fix his own DJ equipment--next landed Borg a recurring role on Auction Hunters (2010) as their German handyman.

Flula continues to pursue music, with an EP scheduled to for summer 2014 release, as well as hosting, acting, and online projects.
