Fortune Feimster - Biography

Fortune Feimster, the Southern comic who hails from North Carolina, has been making quite a name for herself as an actor, stand-up comedian, and writer since moving to Los Angeles in 2003. In fact, Variety named Fortune one of their "Top 10 Comics to Watch" in 2014, and she has been reaching new heights ever since. Most known for her work as a full-time performer and writer on "Chelsea Lately," she can now be seen in "The Mindy Project" as Nurse Collette.

It's been a quick rise for Fortune who made her TV debut in 2010 on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" where she finished strong as a semi-finalist. She has since appeared on "Glee," "Two Broke Girls," "Workaholics," "Drunk History," "Conan," and had a recurring role on "Mulaney" and "After Lately." She was also cast in the Tina Fey pilot "Cabot College" for Fox. When this show didn't move forward, Fortune teamed up with Fey once again to create her own starring vehicle called "Family Fortune," which was given a pilot order at ABC. It would be the second TV pilot Fortune sold to the network.

When not acting, Fortune can be seen traveling all over the country doing stand-up or hosting major events such as the GLAAD Media Awards. She's most known for her silly and down to earth approach on stage, which has made her a favorite among audiences everywhere. She's also a master of improv thanks to her days as a member of the prestigious Groundlings Sunday Company in Los Angeles, and is interacting with crowds at every show.
