Gabriel-Kane Day Lewis - Biography

Gabriel-Kane Day Lewis is a singer and songwriter based in New York City. His musical inspiration is drawn from an array of classical and contemporary rock and soul. He sites Sam Smith and John Legend as artists he admires and aspires to. Gabriel-Kane plays both piano and guitar, working as a solo artist with a backing band. His lyrics speak from the heart about life, love, and growing up.

He was raised in Paris, Dublin, and New York. Gabriel-Kane is fluent in French and has worked being bi-lingual into some of his compositions. He attended Berklee College of Music and began writing and playing music at the age of 9. He has lent his skills to composing and performing the original score for the French film "Respire," directed by Melanie Laurent which won honors at the Cannes Film Festival.

He is the son of the illustrious actors Daniel Day Lewis and Isabelle Adjani. His stepmother is the famous writer and director, Rebecca Miller, the daughter of Arthur Miller.

He was recently interviewed by Le Monde magazine in Paris and was featured on the cover which was shot by the world famous fashion photographer, Cedric Buchet. Gabriel-Kane has a 3 song EP being released in August of 2015. Writing and performing, Gabriel-Kane is taking meetings with record labels in the hopes of releasing his first album in the near future .
